I'm new to WNBA so far from knowledgeable. All I've learned so far is that there's too much pressure on CC. Didn't the team finish 10 of 12 last season? Shouldn't an achievable goal be to finish higher? There needs to be gradual improvement. What do you expect from a team that have their opponents focus all defence on the rookie? They're experienced players who should be reliable enough to draw defence away from CC. I'd be looking at the coach to run the right drills and focus on the basics or find another who can.

She SUCKS!! Quit trying to change what Caitlin does, it obviously worked for her in college, so it was obvious from those first 2 games that this team is not playing like a team. Does this woman know anything about basketball?? How does the media even know what to ask her? New York had so many open shots but we weren't. It was from under the hoop and 3 point range, we weren't covering people. Those 17,000 are going to dwindle fast. You'd better figure out how to build this team around her. She's better than everyone because they can't let her get open, and she needs very little time to get a good shot off. I am so sick of this already.

Other veterans scored 9 points or less too but CC had a better performance than them overall as she had 7 rebounds and 6 assists and its just two games so better watch out for her, don't count her out, sooner or later she'll get that rhythm.

The coach’s comments on her expectations from her players namely their need to develop more pride really stood out to me because she’s actively telling them what she wants from them which is exactly that, the players need to be able to push those boundaries as leaders even if it means being right when another player was wrong or isn’t adjusting. Very particular note that young players specifically have to develop over time. You can definitely see a lot of veteran players develop those skills almost to a fault where they even start trying to call out the ref every play which proves christies point.

Yes it’s important to make the ball go thru the basket. It would be good to. have teamwork. Boston is slow and can’t make short shots. Wheeler should be benched.. Team could use a new coach.

Everyone needs to take a breath, its going to take time, they played two veteran teams, they are brand new with barely any practice time, they had the number one pick for a reason.

How do you miss a fast break uncontested layup? A group of 15 year olds would slaughter this team.

The fans are there to see logo threes, and clearly, she has been told not to take them. She isn't gonna succeed if the staff are changing her game, and by default, the league will go right back to small audiences. I know that for me, that game was boring, which is why I didn't watch it before. The officiating sucks. Basketball is not supposed to be a bunch of hard pushing and shoving. All these women sending a message to Caitlin by playing 10 times rougher against her than they do against anyone else at the point are gonna be their own downfall when all the fans filling stadiums get bored with the game. I have tried to watch other games besides the fever also, and by halftime, I'm changing the channel. Just like the NBA, they have taken the game and turned into a boxing match instead of pure basketball where the longer you've been there, the more you get away with. I watched Stewart in plain sight shuffle both her feet at the 3 point line and no call. In basketball, no matter how good you are or how long you've been there, that's traveling, and it's the reason the pro games for men and women suck. LeBron travels 10 times a game and commits 10 fouls a game and gets called for none, but if the new kid on the court did it, he'd be on the bench for turnovers or foul trouble. In true basketball, everyone's game should be called equally, and it's simply ruined the game that it's not. It's been boring and disappointing because I was excited about watching, and I'm already losing interest. I guess I'll just stick with the college game where everyone is the same and officiated that way. I didn't tune in to see Caitlin get beat up every night and have her game changed, and I'm sure there are thousands more who feel the same as me

Fans get turned off by players that are overrated...by the individual's fans & the media/announcer idiots. This shot was another brick, something she's extremely good at. Put her at the FT line where she excels...then you can cheer that talent.

Caitlin’s teammates hate her, they don’t even try to help her out

Just the first minute in this and you can see she caught herself before going off the edge into crying and blaming , and turned around and turned it down. Get an nba head coach this off season and implement the system. Or as an assistant coach

Yelling for a coach to get fired 2 games into a season while trying to fit a prolific piece in CC into a new system after 4 years is silly and overreacting. And Sides is right in the assessment that it does fall on the team to come out tougher and play with some pushback. What is concerning is when there isn't a focus on the basketball reasoning of why they are looking shakey. They need to adress the offense cause there's no excuse for the stagnancy.

Caitlin had a good game with 9 points, 6 assists, and 7 rebounds. They need to allow Caitlin to run isolation because she is best creating her shoot off of the dribble and allow her to take the deep three's then once a couple shots fall it will open up passing lane for her teammates. The offense is to predictable and robotics. Need more freelance offense that is Caitlins strong suit. Caitlin shots will start to fall eventually. This stretch of games is against the best teams in the league so the team just needs to play hard and learn from these games so they can apply it to teams that are less talented and future games.

Coach got to go. WNBA doesn't have the time for a experimental cycle. Its do or die for this brand, now that alot of eyes are on the league.
